DEWALT released their new 20V Brushless Drywall Cut Out Tool (DCE555B) in early December 2022. The cut out tool also comes as a kit (DCE555D2) that includes two 20V MAX* 2Ah Lithium Ion Batteries (DCB203). The tool has many hard-to-beat features like tool-free bit changing, which allows for fast bit and collet changes without needing a wrench, and a 26,000 RPM brushless motor that delivers fast and consistent cutting with efficient performance and runtime.
Other features include a forward-positioned on-off button designed for easy, ergonomic use, an LED light that helps to illuminate dark work surfaces, and a depth guide intended for consistent cutting depth.
The 20V Cut Out Tool accepts 1/8″, 5/32″, and 1/4″ bits and collets. The tool’s compact design helps reduce fatigue during extended periods of use. It is also Tool Connect™ CHIP ready. Tool Connect™ uses the Tool Connect™ Chip (DCE042) to connect with the Tool Connect™ Site Manager app for easy asset management on the job site. (DCE042 sold separately)
