Milwaukee Tool Release: The New M18 FUEL Track Saw

8 August 2024 Update:

Milwaukee has finally released its long-awaited Milwaukee M18 FUEL Plunge Track Saw Bare Tool (2831-20). The new 6-1/2″ Plunge Track Saw features a POWERSTATE brushless motor that provides 6,300 RPM, allowing finish quality clean cuts through solid hardwoods. REDLINK PLUS™ intelligence ensures maximum protection from overload and overheating. An adjustable cam system will enable users to dial in track-to-rail fitment for even straighter cuts. The easy-slide depth scale allows for quick and accurate adjustments.

  • The smooth, pivoting plunge motion allows for precision plunge cuts.

Designed for the professional carpenter and remodeler, the cordless, portable M18 FUEL Track Saw features over 90% dust collection when paired with the durable dust bag or vacuum. Other features include a quick locking blade change system with onboard Allen wrench storage for easy blade changeouts. Bevel stops at 22.5, 45, and 48 degrees, and a micro-adjust depth knob for the perfect depth setting. Their power tool battery also delivers more cuts per charge than the competition.

The M18 Plunge Track Saw and accessories are sold individually but can be purchased in bundles. Check out some purchasing options below.

Milwaukee Tool revealed its slate of product releases for the rest of the year at its annual PIPELINE event. The PIPELINE event is part of their philosophy of transparency regarding what is coming from them. It provides a constant flow of innovative solutions to make you more productive on the job site.

Among the new products are the next generation of M12 and M18 FUEL drill drivers and impact drivers, the M12 Transfer Pump, and many more. One of the most significant products of the event is the M18 FUEL Plunge Track Saw (2831-20), tentatively slated for launch in early 2023.

M18 FUEL Plunge Track Saw

Track saws are all the rage in the tool world, and Milwaukee Tool is throwing their hat in the ring. They are bringing innovative technology to provide a more efficient, clean, and precise tool. The Plunge Track Saw has the power of a twelve amp corded saw in a single M18 REDLITHIUM 18V battery. With that power level, the saw can easily cut through solid hardwood.

All that power does not sacrifice any of the precision expected from a quality track saw. Combining the accuracy of a table saw with the portability of a circular saw allows for less tear-out during cuts and provides a clean, precise cut. Making cuts across more significant material typically creates a lot of debris, but Milwaukee’s Track Saw offers a best-in-class performance of over 90% dust collection. So, you are spending less time cleaning up messes around the shop, which makes you more efficient.

Several accessories will be available alongside the 2831-20, including guide rails in 31-, 55-, and 106-inch lengths, track clamps, track rail connectors, a 55-inch track storage bag, and replacement anti-splinter strips and friction strips. The Track Saw will also be available as a kit.

Check out the rest of Milwaukee’s reveals from the PIPELINE event to stay connected to all their upcoming releases and shop for even more of their tools at AcmeTools.com.

Hello Jason and Daniel. Thank you for your question and we wish we had a good answer for you. Milwaukee originally stated August 2022 but recently backed it up to be late September 2022 but our internal contacts have let us know that it will be later than that. They are not giving us a firm date. We do apologize for this but as soon as we know we will add the date on this post.

        Thank you,
        Acme Tools

Hi Fred, We don’t mean to tease, believe me, we would much rather be selling the M18 Track Saw than answering questions about a floating release date that the manufacturer cannot give us insight on. We do apologize for the multiple dates and now lack of information but we are trying our best to relay the information Milwaukee is providing to us.

            Thank you,
            Acme Tools

Wanted to thank Adli for the updates on Milwaukee’s ………….. that’s right nothing there. No worries after waiting on………. I decided it was time to move on. I went on eBay and ordered the other red track saw, The Mafell. Wish I had done this five months ago this saw is amazing. Milwaukee dropped the ball a long time ago and I do not think they realize it. Anyway I’m making the switch to Makita.Thank you acme and best wishes.

This has been pushed back and delayed more than a government project this is beyond ridiculous. I love Milwaukee tools but they need to get their heads out of their butts!! And release a real release date!
