DIY Mini Project: Under the Sink Storage

If you’re like us, you’ve been frustrated a time or two with the lack of organization underneath your sink. With too many essential products and not enough room, organization isn’t always possible. But our quick under the sink storage mini-project solves the frustration. DIY beginners, in-betweeners, and professionals can successfully and enjoyably accomplish this mini-project!

Under the Sink Storage Shelf

Double the storage space under your kitchen sink with our sturdy shelf project. Cut three pieces of ¾”-thick pine boards that are 10″ wide. One long piece should the width of your cabinet opening for the top, while two short pieces should be cut to a length of 11 ¼” for the legs. Glue and screw the legs to the top as shown. Then simply place the shelf unit into the cabinet under the sink. (If the disposal or pipe is in the way, you need to cut a notch in the top.) Bingo! You can now keep more supplies within easy reach.

You guys been looking under my sink? Ha! I did this exact thing several years ago because I hate wasted space. Very easy, and you double your storage in short order, spending little or no money if you have scraps saved as I do.
