Bosch recently announced their new PROFACTOR 18V high-powered cordless tool line. The new system uses their exclusive CORE18V batteries and is equipped with BITURBO Brushless technology. PROFACTOR is designed explicitly with professionals in mind so they can tackle the most challenging jobs around the worksite.
Bosch PROFACTOR CORE18V Battery
The PROFACTOR system is a combination of Bosch’s CORE18V battery platform and the cutting-edge BITURBO Brushless motor. The CORE18V battery system features the most advanced technology in the industry. The 21700 battery cell technology produces higher currents for a more extended period. Copper endplates, welded cell connectors, and power rails reduce resistance and maximize efficiency.
Therefore, tools can draw higher currents from the battery for longer. Three CORE18V battery packs are available: 4Ah, 8Ah, and 12Ah. Bosch PROFACTOR tools are fully compatible with any existing 18V battery but work best with the two larger batteries. The 8Ah battery will maximize the tool’s efficiency and provide a charge for most or all of a typical workday. The 12Ah pack is a new addition to the CORE18V battery line. Unlike the 4Ah and 8Ah, the new battery only works with PROFACTOR tools.
BITURBO Brushless Technology

The PROFACTOR’s BITURBO Brushless technology is engineered to offer cordless solutions for challenging job applications. The brushless motor, drive train, and optimized in-tool electronics fully utilize the additional power generated by CORE18V 8.0 Ah and 12.0Ah PROFACTOR batteries.
Complete System Cooling
Working on challenging projects creates heat, the number one enemy of cordless solutions. That heat pushes the tool and battery too hard, creating performance concerns and ultimately resulting in lost efficiency. PROFACTOR’s Complete System Cooling alleviates any heat problems. BITURBO Brushless technology dissipates heat from the tool, so the motor and high-powered electronics stay cool. COOLPACK 2.0 Technology removes heat from the battery. As a result, there is better conduction for a more astonishing battery. Finally, the Hell-Ion Turbo Charger with Power-Boost mode and active air cooling allows faster charging.
