Milwaukee pushed the boundaries of cordless technology again with the release of their second-generation M18 FUEL SAWZALL Reciprocating Saw. Designed for the toughest worksite jobs, the new SAWZALL is the fastest, most durable reciprocating saw in its class.
The new SAWZALL combines three innovations exclusive to Milwaukee: the POWERSTATE brushless motor, REDLITHIUM battery pack, and REDLINK PLUS intelligence.
The POWERSTATE motor provides 3,000 SPM and a 1-1/4 inch stroke length. That motor allows the tool to make the fastest cuts in common materials, such as wood, black pipe, and conduit. The REDLINK PLUS intelligence ensures maximum performance under load and protection from overloading.
To make the new SAWZALL the most durable saw available key improvements enhance the saw’s life. New REDLITHIUM Battery Pack construction and redesigned REDLINK PLUS Intelligence Electronics were the first upgrades in Milwaukee’s new saw.
The upgraded slide crank mechanism improves dust and water ingress, which increases the SAWZALL durability.
Lastly, a handful of wear and corrosion improvements were made to the new saw. An anti-corrosion blade clamp allows for prolonged durability. An improved blade-change lever making it more wear-resistant. A metal-reinforced battery connection improves battery retention over the life of the tool.
The SAWZALL has the option of One-Key connectivity. This allows users to dial in the performance for unique applications such as adjusting the speed for smoother cut starts and engaging a CUT-BRAKE. The CUT-BRAKE will automatically stop the blade after a cut is complete, which helps avoid cutting essential materials.
Users can also create their own operation modes and smoothly move between 3 saved modes to complete each application in the most efficient way possible. Using the One-Key app, users can track the tool with community tracking and alerts, and manage it in their digital inventory.
